Our Story Rollick Wines Jack Tash

Through our travels and adventures, we’ve found the world of wine to be so welcoming, inclusive and downright joyous. The winemakers, cellar and vineyard staff, families and friends who spend their days making wine truly see it as a labour of love. It’s hard work, it’s tiring at times (read: vintage) – but it’s so experimental, creative and rewarding…and delicious, obviously! There’s nowhere to hide when you bottle your wine and share it with the world – and we love that.

We’ve discovered so many of our friends and family outside of the wine industry don’t want to talk about wine for fear of looking unrefined. We want to change that. We want people to jump right in with us and quite simply, just enjoy the journey!

So, how did we get here?

We were both born in the Barossa Valley, delivered two weeks apart by the same Doctor. Due to a family move, we grew up in different places. As fate would have it, we crossed paths 25 years later thanks to a chance encounter at a mutual friends’ birthday. We’ve been together ever since.

We make a good pair - one is an award winning winemaker and the other makes the rest of the magic happen, though it's all a joint effort. We’ve produced wine together, worked vintages overseas, and travelled to many wine regions searching for a good drop and a behind the scenes look with the makers.

The first wine we made together was for charity – a Fiano. It was a hit and we had such a blast producing it that we wanted to figure out how we could do it again. It was the first step towards Rollick Wines (hence the name of our ‘First Step’ Fiano) and we haven’t looked back since.

So, kick up your heels. It’s time for a drink.
