Hooray for Hoolay! Much like this wine, our mate Hally, affectionately nicknamed Hoolay, is a one of a kind - colourful, spontaneous and incredibly generous! He also happens to be the artist behind the painting that has been reproduced on our labels.
Ooh, tell me more about the wine...
'Hoolay' Fiano is a refreshing, drinkable drop! Fiano is a grape variety hailing from Southern Italy, this is perfect for a sunny day (or any other day, it's that good)! We know you love Fiano (our First Step Fiano is sold out!). The Hoolay is more fiano deliciousness, showcasing fruit from a different region - the Clare Valley - we like to keep things fresh!
GI (region where grapes sourced): Clare Valley Colour: Pale straw with green tints. Aroma: Beautiful aromas of white flowers, nashi pear and custard apple. Palate: The palate displays flavours of ripe pear and grapefruit with ripe citrus acidity, keeping the palate fresh and zingy and finishing with a fine chalky texture. Vintage: 2021 Variety: 100% Fiano Harvest Date: 3 March 2021 Maturation: 100% stainless steel fermentation and maturation before being bottled post vintage
Handpicked grapes were crushed and destemmed directly into the press and allowed 4 hours skin contact before pressing to stainless steel tank. The wine was fermented at cool temperatures in tank before regular lees stirring to build texture. The wine was then blended and bottled post vintage.
